The ‘Unpublic’ Logic Of Trump’s Impeachment

Let’s stipulate that regardless of political affiliation, all wrongdoing must face justice and be punished accordingly if one is proven guilty, which is a far cry from the position held by hard core partisans. They always have an excuse for everything to justify the performance of their race horse — from low quality feed to warped horse shoes.

To bring context to the current political situation, the “Obamians” thought that they had finally gained control of the USA in 2008, entering the new age of progressive enlightenment. But, not surprisingly, they were extremely incorrect, and completely misunderstood what the election of Barack Obama truly meant. It was pointed out five months prior to the 2016 Presidential contest in “Obama: The Silver Lining” but they were too busy planning the demise of civilization to attain utopia.

As widely reported, everyone was left speechless by the unexpected election of Donald Trump, except for the USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times Poll, and a proverbial wrench was thrown into the machinations of many people operating behind the scenes. Had Hillary Clinton become the first woman president, an achievement that was sealed with certainty by her and millions of citizens up to the last second when it failed, all covert actions leading up to the election would have been buried and erased. That was the calculation.

Unfortunately people found themselves scrambling for cover and the only viable solution was to undermine and eventually remove the “it’s-an-acquired-taste-orange” president. Artificial intelligence indicated that the only plausible and media sponsored explanation for the victory of an untested, in-your-face candidate, was that foreign agents were behind Trump’s success at the ballot box. It was also the perfect patriotic justification for the electorate to embrace the eventual removal of Donald Trump, and the impeachment process was initiated the morning after the election, like an abortion pill.

It’s now old news that the first tactic failed, despite the contribution of the illustrious Robert Mueller and his team, leading to new accusations and charges that continue to flow. Ukraine is the latest attempt at derailing the presidency, and in due time Trump will be guilty of swapping french fries for kartoplia solimkoi. But keep “Trump: The Prophecy” handy because it’s holding up quite well, over two and half years after publication.

As a side note, Biden didn’t have the power to withhold $1 billion in aid to Ukraine, as he boasted, unless his boss approved. Only one thing can be true.

So what’s the “unpublic” impeachment logic? It has surfaced that unelected career bureaucrats were largely responsible for the Russia investigation and the alleged campaign spying, among other curious endeavors. What is overlooked is that no sane federal employee in Washington D.C. will jeopardize his/her career and pension on such a daring endeavor unless there’s approval and assurances from the very top. That’s basic survival in federal employment. To complicate matters, absolutely nobody across the political spectrum planned for an unprecedented flamboyant, no holds barred, etiquette-less disruptor to be sitting in the oval office — ever.

It’s not a secret that the DOJ and others are actively digging up every crumb that they can find regarding the 2016 election — Inspector General’s report is the least of anyone’s concerns — and the standing certainty is that they will find several smoking guns all pointing to an organization and one individual. Thus there’s a race to remove the president as soon as possible without looking rushed and alarming the public. If impeachment succeeds, the digging stops like a construction site after the funding dries up, and a massive rug will be laid over the misdeeds of 2016 and 2017.

Furthermore, the unraveling of secrets will play havoc with the wider social perceptions and beliefs of required fairness well beyond politics, and that’s yet another chicken that will come home to roost regardless of the impeachment outcome.

Truth is that under any other circumstances, people would simply wait for the next election and try to win on the issues, even on style. But that’s not good enough because politics, policies, and malfeasance by Trump are not the pressing issues and are completely unrelated to the impeachment attempt — and the clock is ticking! It’s “unpublic” but it’s real.
